SHLA Favorite: Guiltless Cocktail Recipe

It’s Saturday night and you’re ready to let loose. But you begin to feel guilty about allowing any alcohol into your diet. There’s nothing to fear, though! Each Saturday, we will feature a healthier drink alternative, perfect for all the shenanigans to be had.

This week, The Mr. Clean:

Ingredients

2 oz Vodka

1 oz fresh, organic lemon juice

1/2 oz orange juice

1 oz simple syrup (we recommend raw agave syrup)

Half Handful of Fresh Fennel

Preparation

1) Muddle fresh fennel in a glass or tin

2) Pour all ingredients in

3) Shake or stir with ice

Enjoy! While there is no real healthy alternative to drinking, excluding excess sugar can help keep you from straying too far from your diet! Also, by using fresh juices, you are avoiding using toxic mixers like most sodas, which contain high fructose corn syrup.
